Event Details

We will address . . .

  • Boeing Pension. We will unpack your Boeing pension and offer insight on the key decisions you need to make. Key topics will include your spousal continuance options, evaluating the lump sum offer, and evaluating accelerated vs. non-accelerated pension options.
  • Supplemental Benefit Plan (SBP). We will illustrate how the SBP works, including contributions, funding, investments, and payment elections.
  • Voluntary Investment Plan (VIP). We will focus on key planning ages and decisions, including, age 55, age 59.5, and age 70.5. In addition, we will identify key factors to consider when evaluating VIP rollovers.
  • Social Security Income. We will help you understand your Social Security income and important factors such as inflation, spousal benefits, and survivor benefits. In addition, we will illustrate some differences between taking your social security income early vs. later.
  • Roth IRAs. We will offer you an overview on Roth IRAs and how they fit into your overall retirement plan. We will guide you through the process of converting your VIP after-tax contributions into a tax-free Roth IRA. In addition, we will illustrate the advantage of using a Roth as a generational planning tool.
  • Medicare. We will summarize your Medicare options as they relate to Boeing retirees.
  • Sick Leave & Vacation Pay. Over time, many Boeing employees may accumulate a lot of sick leave and vacation pay. Come discover how this will be paid to you at retirement.
